This was a small wedding cake for the sweetest couple! For this cake, we started with two tiers. Whenever we have a small wedding we always recommend that they have at least two tiers of cake. This allows them to cut the bottom tier (to feed each other a bite from,) and one tier to save for their first wedding anniversary as tradition goes.
With a clean base of white buttercream on this two tier, we added a watercolor edible image of the couple and added a fondant skirt for the wedding dress. Edible gold leaf and gold non-pareils were added for an elegant touch.
